After her husband Will Smith’s iconic Chris Rock slap, Jada Pinkett Smith says her family is concentrating on “deep healing.”

After Will Smith smacked Chris Rock at the Oscars, Jada Pinkett Smith claimed that the Smith family is focusing on healing.

‘Considering all that has happened in the last few weeks, the Smith family has been focusing on profound healing,’ the 50-year-old actor wrote in a written statement at the start of Red Table Talk’s new season.

‘When the time comes, some of our therapeutic findings will be shared around the table.’ Until then, the table will continue to host compelling, motivating, and healing testimonials like our tremendously outstanding first visitor’s.’

For the sixth season of their Facebook Watch conversation program, Pinkett Smith is returning with her mother Adrienne Banfield Norris and daughter Willow Smith.

Red Table Talk returns less than a month after Pinkett Smith’s husband, Will Smith, punched presenter Rock in the face before accepting the Best Actor award at the Oscars.

Rock made a joke about Pinkett Smith’s baldness as a result of her fight with alopecia.

Smith apologized for the incident and resigned from the Academy on April 1. The Academy said on April 8 that Smith would be barred from attending any Oscars ceremonies for the next ten years.
