David Beckham hopes to keep him for another year or two. Despite reports to the contrary, Cristiano Ronaldo will remain at Manchester United.

Cristiano Ronaldo is expected to stay at Manchester United this summer, according to David Beckham.

The 37-year-old Portugal captain scored 24 goals for the team in the 2021-22 season, but it was not enough to win a trophy or qualify for the Champions League.

Despite having a year left on his contract, Ronaldo might depart the club this summer with the arrival of new manager Erik ten Hag.
Beckham told Sky Sports regarding the possibility of Ronaldo staying at Old Trafford:

“With Leo [Messi], Cristiano is clearly one of the top players in the last 15 years.” It’s vital for the supporters and for him to see him continue at United. We understand how important United is to him.

“And he continues to do what he does best.” Cristiano is known for scoring goals and generating opportunities.

“To be accomplishing what he is doing at his age is extraordinary.” Hopefully, that will continue, and he will stay another year or two.”

Manchester United are floundering towards the conclusion of the season under interim manager Ralf Rangnick, having lost three of their past five games, including a 4-0 hammering by Brighton on Saturday. “There are adjustments to be done and changes that are occurring,” Beckham, who played 394 times for the club from 1992 to 2003, stated.

“It’s a difficult conclusion to the season, but it is the end of the season, and I’m sure a lot of fans are relieved because it’s been a long one with many ups and downs.”

“The players have done their best, and the manager has done his.” Nonetheless, you show up at the stadium. When I was there a few months ago, every seat was taken.

“The fans still believe and support the squad, and they will always show up because that is what United fans do.”

“There aren’t many clubs that have been through what United has in recent years and still sell out their stadium.” As a result, it reveals a lot about the supporters and their values.”
