Defender for Lyon Marcelo was fired for farting loudly and laughed about it in the locker room.

Lyon has reportedly expelled Marcelo, who was recorded farting in the locker room and joking about it.

Last August, the Ligue 1 club confirmed that the defender had been demoted to the reserves for “inappropriate behavior.”

Marcelo had started the team’s first two games of the season before being benched. On matchday two, he scored an own goal in a 3-0 loss against Angers, which was his final game for Lyon.

According to GFFN, the 34-year-old farted loudly in the locker room after the disastrous match.

To make matters worse, he’s accused of laughing about it.

Juninho, a club legend and sporting director, is alleged to have been incensed at the occurrence.

Marcelo was demoted to the reserves before his contract was terminated in January.

Since 2017, the Brazilian has been with Lyon, helping them reach the Champions League semi-finals. Before his contract was cancelled in January, he played 11 times for Lyon’s reserve team.

Marcelo signed for Bordeaux on a free transfer after becoming a free agent.
