Eminem, Dolly Parton, Lionel Richie, and other artists have been named as honorees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for the year 2022.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees for 2022 have been revealed.

Hitmakers in the rock genre

The Class of 2022 is led by Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, Duran Duran, hip-hop heavyweight Eminem, synth-pop combo Eurythmics, country veteran Dolly Parton, R&B hitmaker Lionel Richie, and pop singer-songwriter Carly Simon.

In addition, Judas Priest and songwriting/production powerhouse team Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis will be inducted into the Rock Hall with the “prize for musical excellence” (formerly known as the “sidemen” category).

Dolly Parton was featured in the list despite earlier wanting to be removed from the nomination process.

Parton said she was “proud and humbled” to be included in the list.

She expressed herself as follows: “The fact that I have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors and humbles me. Of course, I’ll take everything in stride. Thank you to everyone who voted for me, as well as the staff of the @rockhall. I’ll keep working hard and attempting to live up to the honor.”

The induction ceremony for this year will take place on Nov. 5 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, where it was previously held in 2013 and 1993. The show will air later on HBO and HBO Max, with a SiriusXM simulcast.
