He was brought to Coventry’s University Hospital, where he unfortunately died.

Jack was “too talented for the All Blacks,” according to David Summerfield, Chair of Evesham Rugby.

“Jack was adding another try to his incredible record when he was hurt during the act and following difficulty of scoring,” he said in tribute.

“It’s difficult to find a more dedicated, loyal ‘Clubman.'” He’d return from London for training on a regular basis and was always at the center of club activity.

“He distinguished himself in service to his club, his colleagues, and the county, giving club supporters great gratification in knowing exactly where the whitewash was.”

“The expressions of support and generosity from the rugby community have overwhelmed us as a club.” Jack was composed and well-liked.

“Such a bright light has gone out of our club and community.”

“I am deeply saddened to learn of the unfortunate loss of Jack Jeffery, who was hurt while playing for Evesham Rugby Club yesterday,” said Nigel Huddlestone, minister for tourism and sport.

“My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and teammates.”

The avalanche of messages on the internet and at the club demonstrates how well-liked he was.”
