In his yearly Triumph Day statement honoring the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany in World War II, President Zelensky states, “We won then, and we shall win now” (video)

Ukraine’s President, Volodymyr Zelensky, has published a film remembering the country’s WWII victory over Nazi Germany and claiming that his country will triumph in its conflict with Russia.

In the video, Zelensky also stated that Ukraine will not hand over “a single piece of our land” to Russia.

“We are on the verge of achieving a fresh victory. The path to it is challenging, but we are confident that we will succeed “he claims

Today, Russia commemorates the event with its yearly Victory Day parades held around the country. Triumph Day is a commemoration of the 1945 victory over Nazi Germany. Following the signing of the German Instrument of Surrender on May 9, it was initially introduced in the Soviet Union’s 15 republics.
