‘Manchester United will not wait 30 years like Liverpool to win the Premier League.’ — Rangnick, Coach

Ralf Rangnick, Manchester United’s temporary coach, has said that the Red Devils will not repeat Liverpool’s 30-year title drought.

United hasn’t won the Premier League since Sir Alex Ferguson took over in 2013. On Tuesday, April 19, Manchester United travels to Liverpool in a match that both teams need to win – Manchester United for top-four ambitions, and Liverpool to keep pressure on Manchester City at the top of the league.

 ?Man United won

Liverpool won the Premier League in 2020, ending a three-decade wait for a top-flight title that began in 1990, after defeating United 5-0 in the reverse meeting earlier this season at Old Trafford.

Erik Ten Hag, the manager of Ajax, might be named as early as this week to try to break United’s dreadful run. He will be United’s seventh permanent manager since Ferguson’s last title triumph.

Ragnick currently claims that Manchester United will not be able to go 30 years without winning the Premier League title, suggesting that it will take two or three transfer windows to become competitors.

“For the future, there needs to be a rebuild,” Rangnick added.

“I’m guessing this [30 years without a title] won’t happen because it’s quite clear what has to change.”

“If you know what you’re searching for, two or three windows will enough.”

“It’s like hunting for a needle in a haystack if you don’t know what you’re looking for.”

“Once you’ve decided what style of football you want to play and what kind of profiles you want for each position, the next step is to identify the players and persuade them to come.”

“It’s not difficult. It’s not a difficult task.

“Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool finished seventh in the Premier League last season. After then, there were two transfer windows. They got rid of the wrong players and brought in the correct ones. That’s why they’re in the position they’re in.”
