Mbappe joining Real Madrid is a possibility, according to Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid.

Florentino Perez, the president of Real Madrid, has rekindled expectations that France international Kylian Mbappe may quit PSG and join the club.

Mbappe has long been connected with a move to Madrid, and the club’s ambition to bring the World Cup champion to the Spanish capital is well-known, since the club’s hierarchy is known for attempting to buy big-name players every season.

Mbappe joining Real Madrid might be true - Real Madrid president, Florentino Perez

Mauricio Pochettino, the manager of Paris Saint-Germain, stated that Mbappe would be “100%” at Parc des Princes next season, but Perez has reignited rumours after Real Madrid won the league title on Saturday, April 30.

“I hadn’t thought about it [Mbappe] but now that you mention it, it might be true and so on,” Perez told Movistar after Madrid’s La Liga success.

“We’ll see when we plan next year’s squad,” he continued.

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, was also asked about the potential of signing the PSG star and responded in a cryptic manner, asking beIN Sports: “Real Madrid for Mbappe? The future is already written with this club and this president.”

When asked if that indicated the deal was done, the Italian coach responded, “I didn’t say that.”

PSG attempted to persuade him to stay in France by offering him a lucrative €50 million-per-year contract, which would make the 23-year-old the club’s highest-paid player, surpassing the salaries of Neymar and Lionel Messi, but he has yet to accept it, despite the fact that his current contract has only one year left on it.
