Russia has issued a warning to the United States to cease shipping armaments to Ukraine.

Russia has written the US a formal diplomatic note warning that US and NATO deployments of “most sensitive” weapons equipment to Ukraine are “adding gasoline” to the crisis and could have “unpredictable consequences,” according to the note.

Artillery, coastal defense drones, anti-aircraft and anti-tank armored vehicles, and Mi-17 helicopters are among the $800 million in security support that the Biden administration stated would be deployed to Ukraine on Wednesday.

According to a report in the Washington Post, Russia called NATO and the United States’ weapons transfer to Ukraine “irresponsible.”

In a diplomatic statement to the US, Russia said, “We call on the United States and its partners to stop the irresponsible militarization of Ukraine, which has unforeseeable consequences for regional and world security.”

In the last two weeks, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has begged for more military supplies to be delivered immediately as Kyiv prepares for an even more savage battle in the Donbas.

A senior US defense official told reporters this week that the US is delivering defensive supplies to Ukraine at “record rates,” noting that it only takes one week from the time Biden signs off on a package to the time it reaches Ukrainian hands.

“I’d like to point out that we front load. Every cargo has a mixture of materials “The recent shipment, according to the official, included surface-to-air defenses including Javelin and Stinger missiles, as well as Switchblade drones with tank-busting warheads.
