To commemorate her 96th birthday, Queen Elizabeth poses with her fell ponies.

On Thursday, April 21, Queen Elizabeth becomes 96 years old.

The Royal Windsor Horse Show has released a new photo of Her Majesty celebrating her lifetime love of horses in honor of her 96th birthday.

The Queen is seen alongside two of her fell ponies, Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale, in the shot, which was captured just last month by photographer Henry Dallal.

The Royal Family captioned the photo on Instagram: “The @royalwindsorhorseshow have released a new photograph of Her Majesty with two of her fell ponies, Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale, ahead of the Queen’s 96th birthday tomorrow.

“The photo, which was taken last month in the grounds of Windsor Castle, is the fourth in a sequence of images provided by the Royal Windsor Horse Show, following images commemorating Her Majesty’s Golden Jubilee, Platinum Jubilee, and 90th Birthday.

“The Queen has attended every Royal Windsor Horse Show since it began in 1943.”
