‘We’re defending our future,’ says the group. – Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, boxing legends and brothers, are’ready to die’ for Ukraine.

Wladimir and Vitali Klitschko, boxing legends and siblings, have stated that they are “ready to die” in the fight against Russian forces entering Ukraine.

The two former world heavyweight champions are currently in Kyiv, Ukraine’s capital, where Vitali serves as mayor.

Vitali said he is “glad to see how patriotic people are” as the brothers reaffirmed their pledge to fight for their homeland.

He told CNN, “We’re not interested in how strong the Russian army is; we’re ready to fight.” “And because it’s our home, we’re willing to die for our homeland and our families.” It’s our future, and someone wants to come inside our house and take it away.”

He went on to say that there is a “massive patriotic movement” in Ukraine to defend the country, and that Ukrainians from all walks of life are ready to take up arms.

“We stayed in front of one of the world’s most powerful armies,” he remarked. For us, the desire to be self-sufficient is paramount. And we’re fighting for our families, our city, our country, and our children’s futures.

“Right now, there is a massive nationalistic movement. Can you image how old folks feel? Doctors, actors, theatrical actors, and many other professions never expected to fight or own guns.

“But they’re coming to us right now, ready to battle.” It’s incredible.”

Oleksandr Usyk, a professional boxer from Ukraine, has also announced that he has joined a territorial defense battalion and is ready to fight.

“However, my soul is the Lord’s, and my body and honor belong to my country and family.” As a result, there is no fear at all. There’s just a sense of bewilderment — how could this be in the twenty-first century?

“I’m not sure when I’ll be walking back into the ring again.” More important to me than a championship belt is my country and my honor.”
