While sitting next to a female minister in the House of Commons, a senior UK MP was discovered browsing porn in the chamber.

While sitting alongside a female minister in the House of Commons, a Tory frontbencher was watching porn on his phone.

At a tense meeting of Tory MPs in Westminster Friday night, April 26, the frightened female minister told colleagues about the porn incident, according to the Mirror.

Around a dozen female MPs at the meeting, according to three sources, relayed experiences of alleged sexism and harassment by their colleagues.

New chief whip Chris Heaton-Harris, Tory party chair Oliver Dowden, and Commons leader Mark Spencer were all present at the gathering of between 40 and 50 Tory MPs known as the 2022 group.

Several female MPs expressed concern that the hostile environment within the party could discourage women from running for office.

One member of parliament stated: “It felt like I was being drained of blood. Everyone was telling horror stories about what had occurred to them in the Commons at the hands of male members of parliament.

“[The chief whip] appeared as if he hadn’t expected it and was taken aback. “However, the big question is what will happen next.”

Another person added: “They were truly astounded and appalled. They must recognize that they have severe problems to solve “..

The fresh Tory sexism storm follows news that 56 MPs, including three Cabinet ministers, are facing sexual misconduct charges after being reported to Parliament’s Independent Complaints and Grievance Scheme.
