After 13 years of marriage, Thomas Tuchel and his ex journalist wife Sissi have divorced.

Thomas Tuchel, the Chelsea manager, has divorced Sissi, his wife of 13 years, and the German faces a multi-million-pound divorce payment.

According to the publication, his wife Sissi filed for divorce last week, with friends claiming that ‘all channels have been exhausted’ in terms of reconciliation aspirations.

‘Sissi and Thomas attempted to avoid splitting, but there was no other option,’ a source added.

‘It’s incredibly terrible, and now it’s all about ensuring that their daughters come first.’ Last Monday, papers were filed to start the divorce process.’

Mrs Tuchel, a former journalist, relocated to the United Kingdom in August, seven months after Tuchel, 48, joined Chelsea from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

He stayed in a motel for a while before the family moved to Cobham, Surrey, near Chelsea’s training area.

Tuchel, who earns £7 million a year, is now facing a multi-million-pound divorce settlement.

His wife, according to Mail Online, quit her job at the German publication Süddeutsche Zeitung to raise their children. According to sources, the couple is adamant on keeping the divorce peaceful.

Mrs. Tuchel was seen sprinting across the pitch at Porto’s Estadio do Dragao before leaping into her husband’s arms 10 months ago after Chelsea defeated Manchester City 1-0 in the Champions League.
