After losing, a junior French tennis player hits a Ghanaian opponent (video)

After losing in the ITF Junior tournament in Accra, Ghana, a 15-year-old French tennis player named Michael Kouame struck a Ghanaian player named Raphael Nii Ankrah.

After losing the first set 2-6 against Ankrah, Kouame, the tournament’s top seed, came back in the second set to force a decision.

The Ghanaian defeated the Frenchman 6-2 6-7 7-6 in the first round after winning a tense final set 7-6 on a tie break.

As the two players approached the net for the ceremonial handshake, Kouame smacked Ankrah, much to the delight of observers.

The International Tennis Federation (ITF) was immediately contacted, and the player was immediately disqualified from the competition.
