At the SAG Awards 2022, Laverne Cox nervously addresses Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘entanglement.’

In Los Angeles, the weather forecast is bleak.

At the SAG Awards 2022 red carpet on Sunday night, Laverne Cox was dubbed “messy” for bringing up one of the most difficult moments in Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith’s marriage right in front of the Hollywood couple.

“We adore you,” the “Inventing Anna” actress said following the brief interview with Will, 53, who is co-hosting the E! red carpet before of the award presentation. Thank you for all the joy you’ve offered us over the years.”

“Thank you,” she said as she turned to Jada, 50. “We can’t wait for more ‘Red Table Talk’ and more entanglements,” she said, referring to the “Matrix” star’s extramarital affair with musician August Alsina in 2015.

The word “entanglement” went viral when Jada disclosed her tryst with Alsina, 29, due to the Facebook Watch host’s refusal to actually call it an affair.

Because she and Will were on a break at the time, the “Girls Trip” star didn’t consider it a “transgression.”

Thankfully, Jada — and Will, who is nominated for Best Lead Male Actor in a Motion Picture for his starring role in “King Richard” — were able to laugh off Cox’s joke.

When Cox discussed entanglements, Jada said, “No more of those.”

“No more entanglements, no more entanglements!” agreed Cox. Girl, I adore you. I’m joking, of course. “All I’m doing is joshin’ you.”

The “Orange Is the New Black” alum’s shady comments sparked an outpouring of support on social media.

One person tweeted, “Laverne Cox bringing up Jada Pinkett Smith’s ‘entanglement’ in front of Jada and Will on the red carpet… classic behavior.”

“Laverne Cox knows she’s messy for that entangled discussion with Will and Jada #SAGAwards,” another added.

The “entanglement” remark wasn’t Cox’s first blunder of the evening.

The host of “Glam Masters” also humorously misspelled the title of the upcoming Disney musical “Encanto,” calling it “Enchanto.”
