In the inaugural episode of The Kardashians, Kourtney Kardashian described how she and her husband Travis Barker ultimately found love after being friends for years.
The mother of three revealed that she was the one who approached the Blink-182 drummer first.
‘I’ve always been attracted to Travis.’ After discussing how they drew closer throughout the pandemic, Kourtney, 42, explains in the first episode that he was taking a long time [to kiss me].’
After failing to make a move on the pair during a movie night, Kourtney tells how she moved in for the kill.
‘I was like, ‘I don’t have time for this movie marathon,’ she explained. As a result, I took the initiative.’
‘Travis is my boyfriend,’ Kourtney explains earlier in the show. Our houses are only a few blocks apart. For at least eight years, he was one of my closest pals.’
‘All of the time, we used to work out together.’ We could just be ourselves if it was just the two of us doing things on a friend level. We’ve fallen in love, and he’s now my boyfriend.’
Kourtney isn’t the only one in the episode who talks about their relationship.
‘This is a connection that I don’t think anyone saw coming because they’ve known each other for so long,’ comments Kris Jenner at one point.
Kim and Khloé, on the other hand, stated they had predicted it for years and had previously advised Kourtney to ‘hook up’ with Travis.
Kourtney and Travis startled fans when they married in Las Vegas after the Grammy Awards earlier this month, albeit the union is not legally binding because they married without a license.
After 20 seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians on the E! cable network, The Kardashians will premiere on Hulu on Thursday.
