Joseph Gatt, a Game of Thrones actor, has been detained for allegedly having sexually explicit correspondence with a kid.

Joseph Gatt, who appeared in a couple episodes of “Game of Thrones,” has been arrested on accusations of transacting sexually with a juvenile over the internet.

According to the Los Angeles Authorities Department, the 50-year-old actor was arrested on April 6 at his Los Angeles home after police executed a search warrant.

On an outstanding felony warrant for “contact with a kid for sexual behavior,” Gatt, who played Thenn Warg on the HBO drama, was arrested and incarcerated.

According to a news release, the LAPD’s Juvenile Division’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Police is looking for any potential other victims and has asked anyone with more information to contact law enforcement.

After the ICAC Task Force received a report that Gatt was allegedly participating in “online sexually explicit communication with a juvenile across state lines,” the actor was served with a house search warrant.

Gatt was released the same day he was arrested on $5,000 bail, according to TMZ. He later wrote in an Instagram post that he shared afterward:

“Of course, I’d like to respond to the horrific and entirely false claims made against me recently. They are simply incorrect and irresponsible. I’ve verified that today’s press release contains inaccuracies and misleading information.

“I’m totally cooperating with the cops and the LAPD to figure out what’s going on.” I’m looking forward to putting my good name back on the map. Thank you to all of my friends and supporters who are aware that this is untrue and realize that I am unable to react further on social media for legal reasons.”

Gatt began his acting career in 1999 with a role in the British police drama The Bill. In the hit HBO fantasy series “Game of Thrones,” he played Thenn Warg, a member of the Thenn tribe of Free Folk known for ritual self-scarification and cannibalism.

His character made three appearances in George R. R. Martin’s television series in 2014. In addition to “Game of Thrones,” the actor has been in significant blockbuster films such as the live-action Disney version of Dumbo, Stark Trek Into Darkness, and Thor. Gatt, who was diagnosed with alopecia universalis at the age of 12, is said to live in Los Angeles with his partner Mercy Malick.

Since 2009, the actor has been in a relationship with Malick.
