Maralee Nichols, Tristan Thompson’s baby mama, has revealed the name of their son.
On December 1, the personal trainer gave birth to her first child, and the basketball player first denied being the father.
He then admitted he was the father after a DNA test proved it.
Tristan has yet to meet their newborn or pay child support, according to Maralee, who has named their son Theo Thompson.
She revealed that Theo’s name means “Gift from God,” and that she is enjoying motherhood after previously fearing she was unable to have children.
“My little angel baby, Theo.” Maralee told MailOnline, “I named you Theo because it means “Gift from God.”
“I’d never gotten pregnant before, and I’d been warned I might not be able to have kids. When I saw you on the ultrasound and heard your little heartbeat, I knew I would always protect you and keep you safe.”
She went on to declare Theo her “biggest blessing” before addressing an E! News article that stated Tristan was not identified as Theo’s biological father on his birth certificate.
“Tristan was not present at Theo’s birth, thus his name was not on the birth certificate,” Maralee explained.
Tristan’s third child is Theo. Tristan also has a five-year-old son, Prince, whom he has with model Jordan Craig, and a three-year-old daughter, True, whom he welcomed with Khloe Kardashian.
