Page Six Style got an exclusive look at Paris Jackson’s cover story in the latest issue of LuisaViaRoma’s LVR magazine, in which she opens up about the tattoos and piercings she’s gotten in honor of her late father, music great Michael Jackson.
The total of seven studs and hoops in her earlobes, for example, are a homage to the singer’s lucky number of seven.
“It’s more about the quantity of piercings than what’s on them,” the 23-year-old said of her earring collection, “but there’s a sunburst, feather, and dragon.”
There are also her more than 80 tattoos, many of which are devoted to her father; the front of her left forearm bears the cover art from Michael Jackson’s album “Thriller.”
While the King of Pop’s renowned showy style is nothing like his only daughter’s self-described “boho grunge” approach, Paris cherishes the pieces he left behind.
“I have a pair of my father’s pajamas and a bracelet that he wore during my entire relationship with him.” “It’s safe with me,” she explained.
Paris models on the side, and made her catwalk debut for Jean Paul Gaultier in early 2020, in addition to following in Michael’s footsteps as a musician (her newest EP, “The Lost,” was released in February).
“Wow, that was great, and it definitely gave me an adrenaline boost.” “After the casting, they said, ‘We’ll see you tomorrow,’ and I cried,” she recalled. “‘Does that mean I’m walking for you guys?’ I inquired, and when they confirmed, I yelled.”
Despite her fame as rock royalty, Paris claims that securing catwalk jobs isn’t easy.
“I’ve been told ‘no’ in castings before… which is fine,” Paris explained. “There was a sense of having to work for it; there are requirements.” They aren’t going to choose somebody who can’t walk, or you simply because you are attractive or have a nice name.”
