Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang creates history by being the first player to score hat-tricks in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, and LaLiga in the twenty-first century.

Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has created history by becoming the first player in the 21st century to score hat-tricks in four of Europe’s five leagues.

In his third outing for the Catalans, the Gabonese international scored three goals in a 4-1 win over Valencia on Sunday, February 20.

With his hat-trick, Aubameyang becomes the first player to score hat-tricks in the Premier League, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, and now LaLiga since the turn of the century.

Pedri was originally credited with Barca’s fourth goal at the Mestalla, but the goal was later altered to the Gabonese striker.

In February 2012, Aubameyang scored his first hat-trick in European football while playing for Saint-Etienne against Lorient, barely two months after earning a permanent contract with the Ligue 1 side.

He scored a spectacular hat-trick on his Bundesliga debut against FC Augsburg, including a goal with his first shot in the league. After joining Arsenal for a whopping £56 million in January 2018, Aubameyang had to wait over three years for his first Premier League hat-trick.
