Sir Alex Ferguson’s double-winning season in 2007/08 The Manchester United team has been voted the greatest in the Premier League’s history.

Manchester United’s 2007/08 Premier League and Champions League double champions have been voted the best Premier League squad ever.

Despite failing to win the FA Cup, the team is still widely regarded as the best in Premier League history.

Sir Alex Ferguson has guided United to a number of victories, the most notable of which was his remarkable 1998/99 Treble-winning team, which won the Premier League, Champions League, and FA Cup.

The double winners, which comprised Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Carlos Tevez, were chosen number one, beating out the Treble winners, Arsenal’s Invincibles, and Manchester City’s ‘centurions.’

United’s 2007/08 double winners came out on top in a Twitter poll conducted by SPORTbible. Arsenal’s ‘Invincibles’ finished second after staying undefeated in the Premier League in 2003/04, a feat that is without a doubt one of the greatest in the league’s history.

Manchester City is third on the list, with Pep Guardiola’s club scoring 100 points in the 2017/18 season, followed by Liverpool in fourth place for winning the league title in 2019/20, breaking a 30-year drought.
