Sophia Momidu has spoken out against a recent skin-lightening advertisement that has been making the rounds on social media.
The entrepreneur chastised the advertising for depicting a “naturally light skinned woman” going through a swarm of black people, including children, as they stare in awe.
Sophia wondered what type of message such an advertisement sends to youngsters with dark complexion.
People who bleach their complexion were also chastised by her.
She went on to praise the beauty of black skin and thank her mother for teaching her to appreciate it.
