Taylor Hawkins’ heart weighed twice as much as the normal man’s.

According to a recent analysis, Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins had a heart that weighed twice as much as the usual for men his age when he died in Colombia on Friday.

Hawkins’ heart weighed “at least 600 grams” during a test, according to the Daily Mail, which is double the usual of 300 to 350 grams.

Hawkins, 50, was discovered dead in his hotel room at the Four Seasons Casa Medina in Bogota on Friday. Multiple substances were discovered in his chamber, according to a report citing Colombian investigators.

“Marijuana, antidepressants, opiates, and heroine [sic] were discovered by Colombian officials.” “At least ten distinct chemicals have been discovered,” journalist Luis Carlos Velez tweeted on Saturday afternoon, citing Fiscalia Colombia, the country’s attorney general’s office.

Hawkins, a California native, was initially believed to have overdosed, but Velez later backtracked in a follow-up tweet.

“Colombian authorities issue a news release confirming the discovery of ten chemicals in #TaylorHawkins – Overdose is not mentioned in the official release. “The investigation is still ongoing,” he stated.

Hawkins died of a cardiovascular failure, according to the Daily Mail, which cited Colombian weekly magazine Semana as its source.

According to Velez, a “cocaine-looking substance” was found in the hotel room, while officials “found hallucinogenic drugs” but “no traces of violence in the luxurious hotel room,” according to national newspaper El Tiempo.

According to Velez, “Colombian authorities discovered: an empty beer can, an opened bottle of vodka, a Coca-Cola bottle, and some ‘other things’ being studied by authorities.”

Hawkins, the drummer behind international Foo Fighters classics including “My Hero,” “Learn to Fly,” and “Best of You,” received a flood of tributes after his death.

Fans gathered outside the hotel on Friday night to pay their respects to the famed drummer.

“It was a band with which I grew up.” As he mourned Hawkins outside the hotel, Juan Sebastian Anchique, 23, told The Associated Press, “This leaves me empty.”

Before his death, Foo Fighters guitarist Dave Grohl told The Washington Post how vital it was to be a part of a band.

Grohl described Hawkins as his “brother from another mother, my best buddy, a man for whom I would take a bullet” in his 2021 memoir “The Storyteller,” and recounted their instant connection when Hawkins joined the Foo Fighters in 1997.

“Our link was immediate upon first meeting,” he wrote, “and we got closer with every day, every song, and every note that we ever performed together.” “We were born to be together, and I am thankful that we were able to meet in this lifetime.”

Hawkins was enticed out of his Paraguay hotel room a few days before his death to meet a 9-year-old street drummer with whom he shared a touching moment.

According to Nexstar, Emma Sofa and her father Julius Peralta purchased tickets to watch the band at the Asunciónico music festival on March 22, but the concert was canceled due to extreme rainfall. The Foo Fighters were staying at the Sheraton hotel in Asuncion, which was later revealed to the fans.

Peralta is believed to have stated, “We took her drum gear and went.”

Hundreds of fans cheered for the happy duo as the late drummer smiled for a now-viral photo.

Peralta posted the shot on Twitter, “Dreams come true.”
