In a surprising turn of events, Kanye West’s account on X (formerly Twitter) has been blocked after he posted inappropriate content and made controversial statements. The final straw that led to this action was when Kanye started posting adult content that was visible to all users.
When users complained about seeing unwanted adult content, Elon Musk, who owns X, first marked Kanye’s account as ‘NSFW’ (Not Safe For Work). This was meant to hide the inappropriate content from regular users.
Before his account disappeared, Kanye announced he was ‘logging off’ and thanked Musk for letting him express himself. He compared his time on the platform to a spiritual experience, calling it ‘very cathartic’ and like an ‘Ayahuasca trip.’
However, the adult content wasn’t the only issue. Kanye had been posting hurtful messages about different groups of people, including antisemitic comments. He even tried to ‘normalize talking about Hitler’ and identified himself as a Nazi.
Some famous people, like actor David Schwimmer, asked Musk to ban Kanye from X. Schwimmer warned that Kanye’s harmful messages could lead to real-world violence against Jewish people.
As of now, Kanye is no longer active on the X platform, though it’s unclear if this is permanent.
