A 75-year-old gospel musician is accused of sexually abusing a man he enticed to his house with the promise of a job.

After enticing a man to his house with the promise of a job, a gospel musician in New Jersey has been accused of sexually abusing him.

According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, Albert J. Lewis Jr., 75, promised the alleged victim that he could get him a job with NJ transport if he first got further information by going to a location in Newark — which turned out to be Lewis’ residence.

When the 41-year-old Congolese man arrived, Lewis allegedly told him he’d have to undergo a physical check to ensure he was fit for the NJ Transit job, according to prosecutors.

Lewis allegedly told the man to strip and then engaged in “criminal sexual contact,” according to prosecutors.

Lewis was charged with criminal sexual contact, unlicensed practice of medicine, and enticing of an adult on Tuesday, February 8.

Lewis is the executive director of the Dr. Albert J. Lewis Gospel Hour, which according to NJ.com is the country’s second-longest nationally syndicated gospel television show.
