After learning about Kurt Zouma’s salary after the cat-kicking affair, West Ham players ‘demand pay raises.’

Kurt Zouma is apparently at odds with his West Ham teammates, who recently learned of the defender’s salary as a result of his outrage for animal cruelty.

On Monday, February 7, footage of Zouma kicking his cat across the kitchen floor went viral, causing uproar. The club has penalized the footballer two weeks’ pay for his behavior.

According to some accounts, the money would be sent to animal organizations, but the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or RSPCA, says it will not receive any.

After his brother, Yoan, was suspended by Dagenham and Redbridge for his role, West Ham is under pressure to press for more punishment.

However, once West Ham fined Zouma, his salary were revealed, making some celebrities furious.

The West Ham summer addition appears to be the club’s highest-paid player, with a two-week wage fine of £250,000.

According to the Daily Mail, his teammates are dissatisfied with the fact that the Frenchman earns significantly more than the club’s other stars, and are requesting a salary raise.
