Callum Hudson-Odoi, a Chelsea player, discusses Ghana’s and England’s international prospects.

Callum Hudson-Odoi, a Chelsea winger, has spoken out about his international future, revealing that he has the option of playing for England or Ghana.

The 21-year-old is eligible for both countries, but has yet to fully commit to either.

Hudson-Odoi assisted on Romelu Lukaku’s opening goal as Chelsea beat Palmeiras 2-1 in extra time to win the World Club Championship.

Despite his youth, the footballer has won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League, and Club World Cup with Chelsea.

He addressed speculations about his international future in the aftermath of his team’s triumph over Palmeiras.

“Hopefully,” Hudson-Odoi responded when asked if he’ll be playing for England rather than Ghana at the 2022 World Cup. I’m not sure. We’ll wait until that time comes, towards the end of the day.”

Despite playing three times for England, he can still move to Ghana in late 2022 due to a change in FIFA’s eligibility regulations.

After being relegated to England’s U-21s last year, Hudson-Odoi recently turned down a call-up.
