Emira D’Spain, a TikTok personality, is the first black transgender model to work with Victoria’s Secret.
Emira, also known as XOXOEMIRA on social media, has collaborated with the lingerie brand on a Valentine’s Day TikTok.
Her video demonstrates how to have a good time without a significant other on Valentine’s Day.
“My entire platform is founded on confidence and self-love,” Emira, 25, said.
“I want to inspire young trans women and men all across the world by demonstrating how the beauty and fashion sectors are evolving.” This is particularly true if you are a person of color.
“I am extremely happy for the opportunity to work with Victoria’s Secret, and I hope that this will open the road for others to follow in my footsteps.”
D’Spain gave credit to fellow model Valentina Sampaio for paving the way. In 2019, Sampaio became the first transgender model to work with Victoria’s Secret’s PINK line.
Emira was born in Dubai and raised in Dallas, and is represented by Andrew Warren’s CollXab marketing agency. She uses her TikTok platform to share beauty and fashion tips with her viewers, as well as chat about her transition, dating, friendships, and life in New York City.
