Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has joined Danish side Aarhus after a nine-month search for a new club. Wilshere will earn only £5k a week.

After a nine-month search for a new club, former Arsenal player Jack Wilshere has signed a contract with Danish team Aarhus till the end of the season.

The ex-England midfielder has spent the season on a non-contract basis at Arsenal. However, he has agreed to join top-flight Danish club Aarhus until the summer, with the opportunity to extend his contract.

Aarhus announced the deal with a video featuring Stig Inge Bjornebye, the club’s football director, watching a footage of Wilshere’s memorable goal against Norwich in 2013.

The man himself emerges next, and says, ‘Signing.’ At his new club, he’ll wear the number 10.

‘I’m at a position in my career where I need to get back on track after a challenging spell,’ Wilshere said.

‘I am grateful for the chance provided by AGF, and I will do everything in my power to assist the team in moving forward.’ ‘I am very excited to join the team and contribute.’

‘He (Wilshere) is in good physical shape, but of course lacks match fitness,’ said Aarhus sports director Bjornebye, a former Liverpool and Norway defender.

‘It’ll most likely happen, and we’re excited to see him in the white jersey.’

Wilshere will make £5,000 a week before bonuses at his new home, according to The Sun, which means he will not be at the top of their pay scale.

Defender Frederik Tinganger is claimed to be their highest paid, with a weekly wage of roughly £6,7000.

Captain Patrick Mortensen, on the other hand, earns £5,7000 per week, according to the outlet.
