The relationship between Cristiano Ronaldo and Ralf Rangnick at Manchester United is “very fractious,” according to a new report.

According to a fresh report in Spain, Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick have a ‘totally shattered’ relationship because the forward believes the manager is out of his element.

Following the resignation of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the German manager was called in to turn around the Red Devils’ season.

United, on the other hand, is struggling to get the results they want, and tensions are thought to be rising in the dressing room.

According to Spanish source AS, Rangnick does not have the support of the squad’s “main heavyweights,” particularly the Portugal international.

The player’s and manager’s relationship is now alleged to be utterly shattered.

Rangnick, according to the five-time Ballon d’Or winner, lacks the skills to manage United and is out of his depth at Old Trafford. Rangnick is reportedly alleged to have enraged Ronaldo even more last Friday, when he accused the forward of not putting up enough effort in front of goal.

Ronaldo is the club’s top scorer this season, but he hasn’t scored in the last five league games, and Rangnick feels dissatisfied with his output.

This season, the 37-year-old has not shied away from expressing his displeasure, with his most recent outburst coming against Burnley last week.

In midweek, Rangnick benched Ronaldo in favor of Edinson Cavani, but the Portugal international came on as a second-half replacement at Turf Moor.
