The ‘Simpsons’ foresaw Russia’s’sad’ invasion of Ukraine.

This “Simpsons” prophecy was not amusing.

“The Simpsons,” which is known for forecasting Super Bowl outcomes and other light-hearted events, has recently been credited on social media with foreseeing something less amusing: Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

As a result of the horrific tragedy, perceptive Twitter users compared the clash to an episode of the prophetic series “Simpson Tide” from 1998. During a military practice, Homer unintentionally launches a submarine commander into Russian waters, inspiring a resurgent Soviet Union to deploy troops and tanks to the streets and revive the Berlin Wall.

“Simpsons” showrunner Al Jean confirmed the worrisome comparisons, tweeting, “Very sad to report this was not hard to foresee.”
