The Undertaker to be inducted into WWE Hall of Fame as head of 2022 class

WWE has revealed who will be inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2022. Mark Calaway, better known as The Undertaker, will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on April 1 at American Airlines Center in Dallas, one day before WrestleMania 38 kicks off.

Calaway made his way to World Championship Wrestling in the late 1980s after rising through the regional territories. He had an unsuccessful run as “Mean Mark” Callous. Calaway joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1990 and was given the gimmick Kane The Undertaker, which was immediately modified to just The Undertaker before his broadcast debut at Survivor Series in November of that year.

The Undertaker would go on to be one of WWE’s biggest attractions for decades, reinventing himself multiple times as he went from being a zombie undertaker to a cult leader to the motorcycle-riding “American Badass.” He’d be flanked by characters like managers Brother Love and Paul Bearer, as well as his fictional brother, Kane, along the way.

The Undertaker also established “The Streak” as one of pro wrestling’s most famous accomplishments by winning his first 21 matches at WrestleMania. Undertaker took part in some of the most famous matches in WWF/WWE history during the last years of his WrestleMania streak.

The Undertaker has won seven world championships and seven tag team championships in total. He also won the Royal Rumble in 2007.
