Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko have pledged to fight for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s invasion, and have called for an end to the “pointless war.”

Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko, brothers, have sworn to fight for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s invasion.

As their country continues to be targeted by Russian President Vladimir Putin, the former heavyweight champions, with Vitali now the mayor of Kiev, issued an anguished plea to cease the “senseless war.”

Vitali, as mayor of Ukraine’s capital, has already declared a state of emergency for the city, which is already under martial law.

‘I’m asking on all foreign partners to monitor this catastrophe that is unfolding right now in Ukraine,’ Wladimir Klitschko said in a joint video.

‘And this pointless battle, in which there will be no winners, only losers.’

‘I just want to emphasize the need of being unified in the face of Russian aggression.’

‘Do not allow it to continue in Ukraine, Europe, and, eventually, the rest of the globe.’

‘We are stronger together; please support Ukraine.’
